27 & Kingin
Birthdays are usually for sober reflections but on this amazing day every year, I am anything but sober. Lool.. Don’t get me wrong, you won’t see me getting high on alcohol, all I’m trying is to say is that I get very excited as the minutes to midnight tick into a brand new year. Let me give you a run down of how the day goes.
The day usually begins with prayers for the celebrant by the family. I look forward to kneeling down and receiving blessings from my mum. I love the way she prays, especially on our birthdays. I’m all fired up after this and I’m so sure everything will go according to plan. Releasing my new jam “RichNRychus” also is a blessing, I put in so much time and effort into this project as well as the whole album, my birthday wish is that you download and kindly share .
Have an interview with the beautiful duo, Edima and Ken at Cool Fm by 9am, if you are in Abuja, kindly tune in. One of my friends promised to take me to an undisclosed location. Fada Fada, lead us not into temptation.. Na just baiday o. I’m still waiting to be surprised sha, I really love surprises and I’m hoping someone will call and say “Rymsta, the key to the Bentley is at your doorstep.. Have a lovely spin!” Chim ooo!!! Thinking about it is already giving me goose-pimples. I believe in miracles, anything is possible.
I’ll definitely try to reply all the one thousand or more messages that will be on my Facebook and Instagram page as much as I can, so if I don’t reply immediately just know that I love you and I deeply appreciate the kind gesture. Dear Future Wife, if you’re reading this you know I’m getting older and I want to have kids as a young man, so please show up and let’s make this happen before I clock 30.
At 27, there’s so much to be grateful for. I’m so thankful to God for keeping me alive to see this day. For those who keep encouraging and supporting me in every little way, either by your kind words and prayers or just simple hugs (I love hugs) thank you so much! I love you guys. It’s currently 11:45 pm and I’m typing this with some tired and sleepy eyes but I hope it makes sense when you read it. Tomorrow is Tuesday, I’ll definitely be in church in the evening for some more prayers and hopefully more presents .. Hahaha! The day will end with a beautiful dinner with the family. I still don’t know what they have in store but my mum has been winking at me all day. Ok, time to sleep. I’m 27 and I feel like a King.
